Tension gripped Bally after a Trinamool Congress candidate staged a protest outside Bally Police Station, alleging that BJP supporters assaulted a young man for switching allegiance to the ruling party. The protest, which involved surrounding the police station, was aimed at pressing for immediate arrest of those accused in the incident.
According to allegations, the victim, identified as Ranveer Dalui, had recently joined the Trinamool Congress from the BJP during a rally in the Bally Nabin Sangha area. Supporters claimed that he was attacked and beaten up soon after his political shift, triggering anger among party workers. The incident has led to heightened political tensions in the area, with demands for swift police action continuing.
